The Strategy
The Cheesecake House is a home bakery located in New Braunfels, Texas, owned and operated by Rachel Herevia. She is passionate about her craft and after years of filling orders to a small but loyal market, she was ready to take her budding business to the next level and widen her reach within the city and surrounding areas.
An aspiring wedding vendor, she was looking for a fresh face for her brand that would be suitable for reaching clients hosting upscale events, but that still felt personable and authentic to who she is.
The Visual Identity: Handcrafted & Polished
While seeking visual direction for the project, Rachel was gravitating towards blue and white hand-painted ceramics and an organic but chic brand identity, which aligned with the handcrafted quality of her cheesecakes. Keeping her wedding and event sales strategy in mind, the solution was an ornamental mark inspired by Mexican talavera tiles that feels highly personal to Rachel, the heart behind the business, and timeless and trustworthy to potential wedding customers.
